General Questions

Why should I take your online classes?

There are several reasons:

  • We are arborists committed to training arborists!
  • Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced.
  • We offer several safety and science classes to choose from.
  • Our classes earn CEUs from ISA and TCIA and we submit them for you. We also provide a detailed Confirmation of Attendance email for submitting to other organizations (e.g. local or state entities) for education credits.

Registration Questions

How late can I register for a class?

You can register right up to the class start time and immediately join the class.

Can I cancel and get a refund after I register?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before your online class starts and receive a refund less credit card fees and a $20 administrative fee. For on-site classes, please see the cancellation policy for that class.

Do you offer a volume discount?

Yes, we do! If you are planning to register 5 or more students in a single transaction, then please contact us about a coupon for a volume discount.

Why do you need my phone number?

This is only used for administrative purposes, like contacting you in the event of a registration error or sending you a reminder on the morning of the class. We do not advertise classes or otherwise solicit for your business via phone.

Why do you need my credentials?

This is only used for submitting attendance records to ISA or TCIA for CEUs.

Can I register to watch a video of your Online Classes at a later date?

We do not currently offer On-Demand Classes, but are considering this as an additional option. Stay tuned!

Oops! I can't attend my class. What are my options?

No problem. Here are your options:

  • You can cancel (see the cancellation policy above),
  • You can transfer your registration to someone else, or
  • You can transfer to another class of equal or lesser cost.

Note: In order to process transfers, we must be notified prior to the start time of the class you originally registered for – “no shows” are not eligible for refunds or transfers.

Online Class Questions

What time is my online class?

All class times are shown in Central Time. If you reside in a different time zone, then please adjust the class time for your locale (e.g. Pacific Time is 2 hours earlier and Eastern Time is 1 hour later). Our current Central Time is shown below for comparison to your local time.

Will I receive a reminder for my class?

Yes. We typically send out a reminder early on the day of class with the time and Zoom meeting information.

How do I join my online class?

After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the date, time, and Zoom Meeting details. If it’s not in your Inbox, please check your junk/spam mail for this message. If you did not receive your confirmation (e.g. wrong email address), then please contact us.

Why are your Online Classes on Friday afternoons?

This selection was based on previous input from students and instructors.

Can I join the class from my smart phone or tablet?

Yes. Zoom supports many platforms. If you can download the app, then you can join a meeting.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Questions

When will my CEUs be credited?

We submit attendance records for our classes within 1 week of class completion, but typically this happens immediately after the class or the next business day. Once this is completed, you will receive a follow-up email confirming this has been done along with proof of attendance. It can sometimes take ISA and TCIA up to six weeks to post the credits to your dashboard.

What CEUs do you offer?

We only submit to ISA and TCIA for CEUs. If you need proof of attendance for other organizations, this is provided within a week after class completion.

How do you verify my attendance?

Attendees are verified during the first few minutes of class and late attendees are not eligible for CEUs or Certificates of Completion. When joining the Zoom meeting please enter your first and last name when prompted in order to help us with attendee verification.  If we can’t readily identify you, then we’ll make contact during the webinar to confirm your name.
